FootGolf Dress Code and Etiquette

Purpose
The Dress Code and Etiquette guidelines exist to preserve the identity of FootGolf, maintain professionalism in competitions, and promote respect for fellow players, officials, spectators, and the game itself.

Knee-length argyle socks are traditional in FootGolf and encouraged, particularly in formal tournaments.
Plain sports socks are acceptable for casual play but must be neat.

Etiquette
On the Course
Respect the course: avoid damaging greens, bunkers, or fairways.
Always replace divots and smooth bunkers when instructed.
Do not kick the ball until it is your turn and the group ahead is safely out of range.
With Other Players
Remain quiet and still while others are taking their shots.
Avoid unnecessary delays; play at a steady pace.
Offer encouragement and sportsmanship regardless of score.
With Officials
Follow the instructions of referees, marshals, and tournament staff at all times.
Any disputes must be raised respectfully in accordance with competition rules.
Spectator Etiquette
Spectators should keep a respectful distance from players.
Cheering is welcome, but disruptive behaviour is not tolerated.
Sportsmanship
Players must conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, and fairness.
Unsporting behaviour (taunting, verbal abuse, deliberate distractions) is prohibited.
Shake hands (or offer an appropriate gesture) with opponents and officials after the round.
Enforcement
Tournament officials may issue warnings, penalties, or disqualifications for breaches of dress code or etiquette.
Clubs are encouraged to adopt these standards at all levels of play.
